In 12 weeks, 15 tandems will be setting off from Morecambe in Lancashire to cycle the 170 Coast to Coast miles to Bridlington in East Yorkshire, to raise money for Goalball UK.

Each week we will introduce you to 2 of the participants:

Louise Simpson
Louise Simpson
Louise is originally from Leeds but currently lives in Southend, where she works as a Customer Services Agent at the Job Centre. She has been playing Goalball since 1995 and was the youngest member of the GB Women’s squad at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games and the oldest member at the London 2012 Paralympic Games! She is a regular ‘parkrunner’ (5k) and has completed a number of marathons, plus every other distance in between!
Mike Reilly
Mike Reilly
Mike is the Chief Executive of Goalball UK. He will be one of the oldest cyclists on the trip and his mates are questioning his sanity in undertaking the challenge, as from his picture (a black and white picture of Mike on a tricycle aged about 4!), it is evident that it has been a very long time since he has been on a bike! Outside of Goalball, Mike has been heavily involved in Rugby Union all his life, both as a player and coach
