Great Britain Men’s Goalball Squad ventured an hour and a half north of Helsinki in Finland to compete at the Pajulahti Games. Although incredibly cold this didn’t stop GB turning up the heat against five of the top teams in the World Sweden, Germany, Finland, Turkey and Lithuania. Up against tough opposition this has noticeably been GB’s most successful tournament with a group stage win against Finland who are the Paralympic Gold Medalists from London 2012.

GB finished 5th overall in the group but unfortunately lost to Finland in the 5th/6th playoff. Congratulations to Dan Roper (RNC), Adam Knott (Winchester), Filmon Eyassu (Cambridge), Matt Loftus (Northern Allstars) and all the staff for their fantastic achievements.
