Funded by Sport England, Goalball UK hosted our annual Youth Talent Camp in February half term (16th – 19th) at RNC Hereford (Royal National College for the Blind).

18 talented youngsters travelled across the country, aged between 11-19years old. During the week they showed us how incredible they really are both on and off court. This camp is a fantastic opportunity to show off everything they have learnt from their club coaches and teammates against players of similar ages and ability. Players attended from:-

Fen Tigers Goalball Club

NCW (New College Worcester)

Nottinghamshire Sheriffs Goalball Club

Corby (Northampton),

RNC (Royal National College for the Blind)

Scarbrough Goalball Club

St Vincent’s School (Liverpool)

Winchester Goalball Club

York St Johns Goalball Club

“This time last week I was ready to go to Hereford, where I experienced the best few days of my life at goalball uk talent camp #goalballuk

Courtney Kyle (Player Northampton)

Over the week player’s worked with Great Britain Coaches Aaron Ford, Faye Dale and Becky Ashworth to learn new skills, develop match awareness, improving technically and tactically in all areas of their game. Alongside our coaches we were joined by two of our Great Britain Players Dan Roper and Laura Perry, who provided expert advice, support and leadership throughout the camp.

“Now in our third year this 2016 camp has exceeded all expectations, players have travelled far and wide to challenge themselves against the best U19 players in the country. Every player has developed throughout the week and we may have even found our Great Britain players of the future. Congratulations to everyone who attended and good luck with the rest of your 2015/2016 Goalball UK National Tournaments’”
