By Train:
If you’re arriving by train into Sheffield Station:
- Walk to the adjacent Sheffield Interchange, then take any suitable bus route listed below.
- Alternatively, take the Supertram directly from the station toward Attercliffe / Arena area.
By Bus:
A large number of buses run from Sheffield Interchange toward Attercliffe and Coleridge Road, close to the EIS.
Common bus routes serving the EIS area include: 2, 69, 130, 287.
You can board these at Sheffield Interchange and get off near Coleridge Road or Attercliffe depending on the specific service.
By Tram:
Sheffield’s tram network has a stop very close to the EIS.
From Sheffield Centre
- Go to any central Supertram stop (e.g., Cathedral, Castle Square).
- Board a Yellow Line or Tram Train heading toward Meadowhall / Arena / Attercliffe
- Ride until you reach the stop closest to Attercliffe / Arena / Don Valley — all within short walking distance of EIS
- Once you get off at the nearest tram stop (Arena / Don Valley / Attercliffe area), walk a short distance to:

From Meadowhall Interchange
- Board a Yellow Line or Tram Train heading toward the City Centre.
- Get off at the stop near Attercliffe / Arena, which places you within a few minutes’ walk of EIS.
- Once you get off at the nearest tram stop (Arena / Don Valley / Attercliffe area), walk a short distance to:

By Car:
- Leave the M1 at Junction 34 (Sheffield / Meadowhall).
- At the roundabout, follow signs for A6178 — City Centre and Attercliffe.
- Continue straight, passing Meadowhall Shopping Centre on your right.
- Stay on this road and follow signs to Attercliffe and Don Valley Stadium / Sheffield Arena.
- Continue straight past the Sheffield Arena (on your left).
- Keep going along Attercliffe Road, then turn left onto Coleridge Road
- The English Institute of Sport (EIS) carpark will be on the right hand side
Car parking: There is a car park outside the main entrance to the building, spaces may be limited when you arrive and please check payment conditions on arrival. There is also an overspill car park available across the road at Ice Sheffield.
