Saturday 12th September

Meet and sign in at the welcome desk in the EIS reception area

This workshop will explore the key principles of effective game management when working with players, coaches and officials. Referees will have the opportunity to discuss practical strategies, share experiences from situations they have been involved in, and consider how different approaches can support confident and consistent officiating.

Delivery Style: Interactive group discussion

Location: Goalball UK Office

Access to Tea & Coffee in Multi-Purpose Hall 1

This workshop will provide an opportunity for referees to chat through a range of goalball refereeing scenarios, including unusual or challenging situations they may have experienced or witnessed. The session will encourage discussion around how different scenarios can be managed in practice, helping referees share learning, consider different approaches and build confidence in their decision-making.

Access to Tea & Coffee in Multi-Purpose Hall 1

This workshop will provide an opportunity for referees to share feedback on their own officiating journey, drawing on their personal experiences within goalball so far. Through open discussion, referees will be invited to reflect on the support that has helped them develop, the challenges they have faced, and what further guidance, learning opportunities or resources would help them feel supported now and in the future. The feedback gathered will help shape how Goalball UK continues to develop and strengthen referee support moving forwards.

A general knowledge quiz designed to help you Connect with people from across the Goalball community. It’s the perfect opportunity to share experiences, build networks, and celebrate our sport together.

The quiz brings an end to day 1.

Sunday 13th September

Sign in at the welcome desk in the EIS reception area.

This practical workshop gives referees the opportunity to work alongside the Goalball UK Centre of Excellence camp, officiating matchplay scenarios under observation and receiving personalised feedback to support their development and performance.
