The 2025 edition of the European Women Champions League took place this past weekend, and we’re shining a light on the brilliant performances of Kali Holder and Chelsea Hudson!
From 6th to 9th of November 2025, Berlin hosted the European Goalball Club Association (EGCA) Women’s Champions League (EWCL 25) at the halls of Füchse Berlin. Ten of the best European women’s goalball clubs battled for the continental title, divided into two groups, with the top teams progressing to the semi finals and medal games.
Kali Holder, and Chelsea Hudson, two members of the Great Britain Women’s squad were competing at the competition. Kali Holder represented Füchse Berlin, who she won the 2024 edition with. Chelsea Hudson was making her EWCL debut, representing GC Golden Flash.


Kali Holder – Champion Performance for Füchse Berlin
Kali Holder returned to represent Füchse Berlin, bringing international experience and composure to the host team. Her performance was consistent, impactful, and crucial to Berlin’s path to gold.

Holder’s 13-goal haul demonstrated her attacking efficiency and reliability under pressure and her consistency across multiple matches showed maturity and resilience. Her performance progression from the group stages to the championship crown reflected her experience at international level goalball. Scoring in the gold-medal match also highlighted her ability to perform in pressure situations and her leadership and composure also supported the team tactically, adapting between offensive and defensive roles depending on the opponent.

Füchse Berlin’s victory secured them the title of European Women’s Goalball Champions 2025. Notably, this victory marks Kali Holder’s second consecutive European Women’s Champions League title. She also lifted the trophy in 2024 with Füchse Berlin, making her back-to-back champion, which is an outstanding achievement.

Chelsea Hudson – Rising Star for GC Golden Flash
Chelsea Hudson, one of Britain’s emerging goalball talents, played for GC Golden Flash (France) during the EWCL 25. At just the beginning of her senior European journey, Hudson proved she could deliver goals and energy on a major stage.

Despite Golden Flash not advancing to the semi finals, Chelsea’s contribution was pivotal, to the teams scoring output and defensive strength. Her attacking instincts, quick reaction time, and willingness to take responsibility in key moments marked her as one of the competition’s most promising young players.
