At Goalball UK, our staff are at the heart of everything we do. Whether they are supporting participants, developing opportunities, working with clubs and volunteers, or helping to grow the sport, they bring energy, commitment and passion to their work every day.
On Monday 14 September, the Goalball UK team will be taking a Wellbeing Day.
The purpose of the day is simple: to give staff dedicated time to step away from work, recharge and focus on their own wellbeing. People might choose to spend time with family and friends, get outdoors, exercise, relax, pursue a hobby or simply enjoy some time away from the demands of daily life.

As a small organisation, we know our people are our greatest asset. Looking after wellbeing is not just the right thing to do, it helps create a healthier, happier and more sustainable workplace.
Wellbeing Days can help to:
- Support mental and physical health
- Reduce stress and prevent burnout
- Improve motivation and engagement
- Encourage creativity and fresh thinking
- Increase focus and productivity when returning to work
- Demonstrate our commitment to looking after our people
We are proud to be an organisation that values people, not just productivity. By investing in the wellbeing of our team, we are helping to create an environment where staff can thrive and continue delivering the best possible support to the blind and partially sighted community.
The Goalball UK team will return on Tuesday 15 September, refreshed and ready to continue helping more people discover the power of goalball.
