Each Thursday we want to put the spotlight on a person involved with goalball – from players, officials, coaches, or anyone
This week we caught up with Holly Graham!
What club do you play for or coach?
I play for Birmingham.
How did you discover goalball?
I did a taster session at the Albinism Fellowship conference and loved it!
Is there a particular song, artist or genre that you listen to before a tournament to get in the mood? Or anything you’re loving at the moment?
Nothing specific that I listen to at the moment for a tournament, but I’ve only done one. My favourite band are Glass Animals and they would probably get me in the mood so I will have to try listening to them next time.
Do you have any pre-game superstitions or rituals?
Not yet – other than getting a coffee and making sure I’ve had some food.
Do you have a favourite post-match meal?
Anything with cheese!
Which goalball player do you admire the most and why?
Everyone at Birmingham of course!
Outside of goalball, what other hobbies/sports do you do?
I enjoy cycling, cooking, gardening, listening to music and watching TV. I also absolutely love skiing but don’t get to do that too much.
Finally, what place, anywhere in the world, is on your bucket list to visit and why?
I’d love to go to Sweden (or really anywhere in Scandinavia) as there’s so much varied nature to see, with forests and glaciers, and a lovely lifestyle.
