Our latest referee course took place at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2026. All five candidates successfully completed our Introduction to Officiating course, along with the required pre-course tasks, ensuring everyone arrived ready to make the most of the weekend.

Throughout the two days, their refereeing skills were strengthened through a blend of theory-based learning and practical on-court sessions, led by our fantastic Goalball UK tutors: Dina Murdie, Alex Bunney, and Stephen Newey. Each candidate showed clear development and progression as the weekend unfolded.

Congratulations to our newly qualified referees. This is a fantastic milestone, and we're excited to welcome them to a Goalball UK competition soon to put their new skills into action. A big thank you to the players from the Training to Train Camp and Goalball UK clubs for breaking the rules (on purpose) and providing the practice games for the course.
