Following an incredible Opening Ceremony today, the goalball action gets underway at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics early tomorrow morning, with reigning Men’s gold medallists Lithuania playing reigning Men’s World Champions Brazil in what is sure to be a great game!

The goalball competition takes place in the Makuhari Messe Hall with 10 teams playing in both the Men’s and Women’s competitions.

Men’s Group A: 
Algeria, Brazil, Japan, Lithuania and USA

Men’s Group B: 
Belgium, China, Germany, Turkey and Ukraine

Women’s Group C:
Australia, Canada, China, Israel and Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC)

Women’s Group D:
Brazil, Egypt, Japan, Turkey and USA

There will be a total of 56 games, over 10 days, culminating in the medal games on Friday 3rd September. You can find the full schedule, plus details of the players in each squad, on the official Tokyo 2020 Paralympics website.

Channel 4 will be streaming all games that are being broadcast live by Olympic Broadcast Services (who are the host broadcaster) on the Channel 4 Tokyo 2020 Paralympics website. You will also be able to keep up to date via the IBSA Goalball website.
