The 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon is just around the corner and we’re proud to introduce the Goalball UK running team.
Get ready to support them (online or at the event!) as they prepare to raise awareness of our brilliant sport.
The event takes place on Sunday 7th April, covering a distance 13.1 miles and passing lots of historical landmarks along the way!
Meet the runners
Louise and Kathryn
Louise is a two-time goalball Paralympian having represented Great Britain at Sydney 2000 and London 2012. She will be guided by her close friend and our very own Kathryn Fielding – Senior Development Officer and West Yorkshire Goalball Club coach.
Gareth, Helen and Rhiannon
Gareth plays for South Wales Goalball Club and is a member of the #FindTheNext Goalball Academy. He will be guided by his mum Helen who is a self-proclaimed goalball obsessive! They will also be joined on the start line by Rhiannon who is Head of Sixth Form at Gareth’s school.
Maggie and Francis
Maggie is a Goalball UK referee and a volunteer at Cambridge Dons Goalball Club. Her partner’s uncle – Francis – will also be participating.
Bev
Bev is a Goalball UK referee and a busy goalball mum – volunteering at Winchester Goalball Club. Sadly Bev is injured but still very much part of the team!
We are inspired, honoured, and thrilled to be supporting the dedication, commitment and challenges this event will bring you all. Thank you for choosing to run for Goalball UK!
