Become a Goalball Visionary and help transform the lives of people who are blind and partially sighted—through the power of goalball.
Support Goalball UK
At Goalball UK, we believe in the transformative power of goalball and team sport. For many people who are blind or partially sighted, isolation can be a reality; being active is about much more than fitness. It can build confidence, increase resilience and create friendships, supporting better health and wellbeing.
Only 11% of blind or partially sighted people participate in at least 30 minutes of physical activity per week, compared with 39% of the general UK population.
Our mission is to empower people who are blind or partially sighted to live and play an active, successful part in an inclusive society through goalball. Your donation helps us to grow and develop our players and workforce, provide high-quality experiences, build partnerships, strengthen our organisational health, and raise awareness of our sport and our people.
What your donation could provide:
£15 – Help Someone Try Goalball for the First Time
£15 could help cover the cost of equipment and venue support for a taster session, giving someone who is blind or partially sighted a safe, welcoming first experience of goalball.
£25 – Grow the Next Generation of Players
£25 could help us deliver goalball activities for children and young people, supporting early confidence, teamwork and skills—building a stronger pathway into clubs and competitions.
£50 – Train and Support Our Coaches, Officials and Volunteers
£50 could contribute towards training and resources for the people who make goalball happen—helping us grow a skilled, confident workforce and deliver high-quality experiences across the UK.
Thank you so much for helping Goalball UK to empower our people and grow goalball across the UK.
For over ten years, Goalball UK has worked at the heart of this community, the largest cohort within the disability spectrum to provide transformational opportunities.
Whilst we strive to succeed as a nation on the world stage, for many of our players and athletes their medals are won each day through living more independent and confident lives.
Your support is crucial to bringing sport’s best kept secret to many of the underserved population of 2 million people in the UK with total or partial sight loss.
“I relished the fact that for once my sight perception wasn’t my issue in this sporting arena. Being 40, slightly overweight and not especially good at sport was!”
Dyfrig Lewis-Smith, Goalball UK board member and grassroots player.
We are incredibly proud of the community we have built around the truly inclusive sport of goalball over the last decade, but we have so much more to achieve.
Whether you are an individual supporter, a foundation or a company, please join our Goalball Visionaries and donate your money, time and support in the following ways.
