In 9 weeks, 15 tandems will be setting off from Morecambe in Lancashire to cycle the 170 Coast to Coast miles to Bridlington in East Yorkshire, to raise money for Goalball UK.

Each week we are introducing you to 2 of the participants:

Anthony O'Keefe
Anthony O'Keefe
Anthony is from Sheffield and plays for the South Yorkshire Goalball Club at Intermediate level. He likes all sports but especially football. He is a Sheffield Wednesday season ticket holder and also supports Newcastle having lived there whilst studying for a degree in Business Studies at Northumbria University. He is also a keen runner. He completed the Great Yorkshire Run (10k) last September and has since become a regular at Hillsborough parkrun (5k).
Stephan Brown
Stephan Brown
Stephan is a violin teacher who started doing triathlons 13 years ago, shortly after needing to have a pacemaker fitted. He took up triathlons because he needed to lose weight, and because you can get away with not being particularly good at any of the disciplines – especially running in his case! He’s never come remotely close to winning an event, even when there aren’t many in his [advanced] age category, but he did manage to complete an Ironman triathlon – slowly – in 2013. He enjoys making music, cycling, cake, swimming and red wine, and looks forward to figuring out a way to manage all five at the same time.
