Goalball UK are pleased to announce the squad travelling to Malmö for the 2023 Malmö Lady Intercup goalball tournament.
The tournament will be held in Malmö, Sweden on Friday 19th, Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st May 2023.
The squad will also take part in a training day and test game with Canada’s national Women’s goalball team on Monday 22nd May.
Heading to Sweden to represent Great Britain are:
Gary Fraser, High Performance Lead at Goalball UK said “The Malmö Lady Intercup offers us a fantastic opportunity to play against some of the best goalball teams in the World ahead of the World Games later this summer.
As well as competing in the event itself we have arranged an additional training camp with our colleagues in Canada. This will provide our players with test matches and additional learning against a very experienced team, expanding our players’ international experience.”
Tournament information
GB Women are in Pool A, with Turkey, USA, Japan and France.
Pool B is made up of national teams from Brazil, Denmark, Israel, Canada and Ukraine.
