On January 14th, another successful taster session was held in Cardiff with 17 participants of different ages and experience attending.
A reporter from the South Wales Talking Magazine Association also came along to record the session which you can listen to here:

Subsequently, a ‘South Wales’ team was entered in the Intermediate (Region B) tournament in Reading in March. Despite not winning a game, they played incredibly well and are already looking forward to the 2017/18 season.

The next taster session will be on Saturday 17th June (at Fitzalan High School) from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend – including sighted family and friends and anyone who is interested in learning more about the sport and/or possibly getting involved with the club as a coach, official or general volunteer. On Wednesday 15th February, taster sessions were delivered as part of a wider Sport, Leisure, Education and Employment event in Swansea organised by RNIB Cymru. There was lots of enthusiasm, from both those trying the sport for the first time and former players, for a club to be launched in Swansea. Therefore, in partnership with Swansea City AFC Community Trust a coaching course is being held in April with the plan being to then start delivering some regular sessions.

On Friday 17th March, a taster session was held at Litchard Primary School in Bridgend. All the pupils, visually impaired and sighted, thoroughly enjoyed playing so there are now plans for goalball to be included in PE lessons and also to possibly start an after school club.

Another taster session has been organised for Wednesday 12th April. This is from 10.30am to 12.30pm at Brackla Sports Centre. For more information please contact Anita Davies: Telephone 01792 776360 or email
