Unique volunteering opportunity for partially-sighted young people

You can change your life. You can change the lives of others. #YouCan

International Service is a York-based charity that empowers marginalised people in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Malawi and Rwanda.

In 2018, they are partnering with Team GB goalball player Georgie Bullen on a unique project that will empower people with disabilities in Ghana, and in the UK called REACT.

On REACT, you’ll join a team of British and Ghanaian volunteers, half of whom will have a visual impairment.

For 8 weeks from April 2018, you’ll work in communities in northern Ghana to challenge the stigma around disability.

REACT is part of ICS, a UK government overseas volunteering scheme.  This means placements are fully-funded and open to everyone aged 18-25 (for General Volunteers) and 23-35 (for Team Leaders.)
