Unfortunately the Great Britain Women’s team failed to gain promotion in what was a tightly contested European B Championships in Hungary (24-28th September).
In the group stages the team beat Belgium 4-1 and drew 3-3 against eventual silver medallists Sweden before narrowly losing their decisive group game to decide who made the semi-finals against Greece 2-1. The team finished on a high beating Belgium 5-1 in the 5/6th playoff.
