Goalball UK Taster Sessions
If you’re new to goalball and wish to experience the game firsthand, our Taster Sessions are the perfect starting point.
Led by experienced coaches, these sessions offer an interactive and supportive environment for you to learn the basics, hone your skills, and get a taste of what makes goalball such a fun and accessible sport.

Let’s Get Active 2025
When: Saturday 12th July from 10am to 4pm
Where: Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheaf Street, Sheffield, S1 2BP
What: Join South, North and West Yorkshire Sight Loss Councils for the regions third Let’s Get Active day. Whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned athlete this is a great opportunity for blind and partially sighted people of all ages to get active. Try your hand at tennis, goalball, football and even karate, there really is something for everyone. It’s set to be a day full of fun, exciting new experiences, and great company – so come along and let’s get active together.

Winchester Academy Aspire Day
Winchester Goalball Club, in partnership with Goalball UK are holding a free Academy Aspire Day as part of our Goalball Academy programme for young blind or partially sighted people aged 11-18 years old. This day is perfect for people who would like to play goalball for the first time, or for people who would like to learn more about explore opportunities to progress within our Performance Pathway.
But for all, come along to have some fun and learn all about this exciting Paralympic sport!

The Home of England Football Family Event

Guide Dogs’ Children and Young People’s Services are delighted to invite children with a vision impairment and their immediate family members to our Summer Sports themed family event at St George’s Park.
Have you ever wanted to visit the home of England football? The very place where Harry Kane and teammates train for important matches! With its world-class facilities, you can be at St George’s Park! We invite children to a day that is all about having a go and getting into the spirit of sport. Expert coaches will provide fun taster sessions in three sports: Goalball, Football and Athletics. All of this plus the chance to explore the inspirational Football Centre with all its England Football history!
Our day together will include refreshments on arrival and a cold buffet lunch. We will also have our very own base for the duration of the day, where Guide Dogs staff from our Children and Young People services will be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance.
Please note: To allow the most accessible experience, we recommend for children with a vision impairment to be age 7 to 15. Siblings of any age are welcome but parental involvement may be required for those younger.
Children with a vision impairment along with one parent/guardian can attend for free. For other immediate family members, we recommend a donation of £7.50 per person.
