Goalball UK Taster Sessions
If you’re new to goalball and wish to experience the game firsthand, our Taster Sessions are the perfect starting point.
Led by experienced coaches, these sessions offer an interactive and supportive environment for you to learn the basics, hone your skills, and get a taste of what makes goalball such a fun and accessible sport.

Goalball UK are planning to launch a new goalball club in Bristol in 2025.
An initial taster session is taking place on Sunday 26th January, from 1pm to 3pm, at Fairfield High School (Allfoxton Road, Horfield, Bristol, BS7 9NL).

Goalball Taster Session in Chelmsford
Date: Saturday 8th February
Time: 11am to 2pm
Venue: The Boswells School, Burnham Road, Chelmsford, CM1 6LY
Nearest station: Chelmsford
This taster session is aimed at visually impaired people 14+. People of all levels of sight from fully sighted to totally blind can and do play goalball as everyone wears shades, so everyone is welcome. Parents, friends and siblings are welcome to stay and join in too.
Cost: £5 per session (first goalball session free)
What to bring: Indoor trainers, long trousers, a long-sleeved top and a flask for water. We will provide padding and eye shades.

The Goalball Academy are hosting an Aspire Day in partnership with Mersey Sharks Goalball Club on Sunday 9th of February, below are more details:
- Date – Sunday 9th February
- Time – 12:45pm until 4pm
- Venue – Anfield Community Sports Centre, Lower Breck Road, Liverpool L6 0AG
To attend the session you must be registered blind or partially sighted, and aged 11-18 years old. Any goalball experience is welcome.

Galloways are excited to announce the start of a new project called ‘Be Healthy, Get Active’ through funding provided by Sport England and National Lottery. As well as regular goalball sessions, there will also be Blind baseball, VI cricket and VI tennis sessions.
The next goalball session will be on Tuesday 18th February from 6pm to 8pm at All Hallows Catholic School, Crabtree Avenue, Penwortham, PR1 0LN.
Thanks to funding from Sport Wales, Goalball UK are working with Disability Sport Wales to launch a new club in North Wales. If you are interested in playing or volunteering, come along to our next taster session.
